For Ariadne: A last fling in paris

He had thought about this for days as he made the plans for Vegas. So in between talking to old friends and older enemies, he had put things in place. Then he had left the box on Ariadne's bed.

Inside was a Canon Rebel digital camera, charged and loaded. Beneath it was a note.

For my love, Ariadne,

Soon we leave Paris. One day we'll come back but this is where we met, where it began. Today is for you and I. All the landmarks, the cafes, anything and everything. I want to commemorate it all. You're the first person in my life I've truly wanted to make memories with.

Camera in hand, and note tucked away for saving. Ariadne made her way (hair still wet from the shower) to look for Arthur. Wanting to say all that she knew she couldn’t. Because, as much as she loved the idea of leaving this place. It did break her heart slightly that they had to. So the fact alone, he was willing to do this for her, meant more then world to her.

"Arthur." She called lightly, bending down to pet Helios a moment. As she knew where Arthur was that moment, as Helios never was far from him. Apparently becoming his shadow in some odd way. Which alone tickled her, but would never say. "You didn't have to get me a camera." She finished, rising back up to lean against the doorframe.
