YAY FOR MORE MEMES

How did you come up with your character? Did they just seem to fit? Too cool to be true? Why'd you decide to play them, really? Verse too, if you wanna.
Your username? Or rather, the process of it. Did you reject some, wanted another one, only to have it snatched away by somebody else and had to think up a new one?
So, seems I was the last girl to the ball that is Inception.
I had wanted to see it but I have an anxiety issue and I was worried it would set off the panic attacks. So I avoid it and then my bestie saw it and was all: OMG GET IT NOW AND WATCH. I did it that night. The moment I watched it I wanted to play Arthur.
I tend to play a lot of more straight laced males, often well dressed. Or I did in my past. I've gotten much more balanced between the sexes recently. So there he was. Smart, strong, dangerous and sexy as all hell. Not to mention the clothes. I have a huge huge thing for a man in a suit. Add an overcoat and *swoon*
I told myself no.
That lasted a whole and entire forty eight hours. Then it was... Huh, wonder if there are icons. Then, well, what username would I use.
loadedparadox - not very inventive, I know. I knew I wanted to hit on the dice because I knew the pre-dream share background I wanted and it centered around that die. I liked this one because really when he teaches paradox, he's teaching Ariadne how to stack the cards in her favor, or to load the dice to make the game go the way she wanted. So there's that.
I grew up near Vegas. I wanted to give Arthur this background that was a bit sad, and a lot over the top and very much the sort that went with a blockbluster. I knew about his dad and mom, and why he would go into dream share, which I've written about on this journal though he rarely talked about it much with anyone.
I was terrified when I first posted Arthur to DM. I had seen others around SWS and they were awesome and I never posted to anyone with my other muses and I got nervous as all get out.
And then I was found like the little lost puppy I was and brought home by
dreamsofmazes. I think I may have ended up shying away and likely dropping him if not for this mun.
OMG I'm rambling. Really, I took up Arthur because he's a BAMF with another side. You see it in how he looks when Cobb yells at him, in that look on his face when Ariadne storms out, in the fact that he knows, without even thinking about it, where Eames is. He isn't just the man with the knowledge. He pokes the holes until the whole thing is airtight and impenetrable. And he does it in a waistcoat and zero freaking G.
I've kept the muse because of where he's gone. He's taken on a life of his own and I have practically emptied my lj login of all other muses. I've never felt this much a part of a fandom before and I love it. I love Arthur and his verses and the people I play with.
Okay, gushing. Time for tagging or something.

Date: 2011-02-04 10:38 pm (UTC)Thank you so much. I admit, I love hearing it and knowing that people appreciate him. I do worry with how affectionate and "teddy bear" that he can be that he might seem off. He adores his Eames! He just doesn't always say it but he feels it.

Date: 2011-02-04 10:42 pm (UTC)No seriously, when Laura told me we were doing a verse with you I went THE ONE FROM DEAR_MUN? I LOVE THAT ONE. ASDFGHGFD and then danced. And he's so not teddy bear, he's just gentle with the people he can be with and a badass everywhere else.
