He hadn't told her why they were going. Only to pack for a week and anything else they could get there. That said, the private jet meant she didn't have the airport to give her clues, and everyone was careful what they said around Ariadne.

Only when they arrived did he wait until the ladder was down before leading her to the top of the staircase.

"Welcome to Dubai," he said with a grin.

Admittedly Ariadne was never one to be left in the dark. But Arthur had done a damn good job at insuring that she was.

So she honestly had no idea where they were headed, that is until they landed. "Are you serious?" She asked - or more stated - as her eyes took in all that was around them, a wide smile spreading across her face as she did. (She hadn't been expecting this)

It was clear, Ariadne was extremely pleased with this. It was almost as if she was a child on christmas day, with they way her eyes lit up at it all. "Arthur Tossi, you are far too sneaky for your own good." She stated, attempting to send him a stern face. Knowing full well, it was failing miserably.

Drawing her to him, Arthur kissed her brow. He couldn't help himself. Just the look on her face was so much of what he had done this for. Seeing her happy, so contented, it was why he did this. That and he loved Dubai and work here didn't happen enough.

"I do try, and you deserve the best," he proclaimed, taking her arm to help down the steep incline of the stairs. "Which I've assured with different hotels, spa treatments, dinner in some of the finest places both known and unknown in the city," he said, pausing at the bottom with a wider grin. "Not to mention a job where you were requested personally at the reccomendation of Mr Saito," he announced, watching for her reaction to that.

Ariadne made a quick face, more out of reflexes then anything, as she was never one to be pampered. But when it came as a gesture from Arthur, that always changed things, and she was more then willing to accept the kindness. "You really put thought into this, huh?" She asked then as her eyes traveled over the landscape still.

His last words caused pause though, turning to look at him with a curious expression, asking: "So this is a job?" It sounded almost curiously uncertain then, as she wasn't sure what to think. She hadn't had a job - in well ever so she was going to jump at the chance. But still, there was a reason for coming here then it seemed - other then the random vacation.

The words hit him and he wondered if he'd screwed up somewhere. "No, not a job, per se," he said, frowning. Uncertainty was a new thing for Arthur and yet he found it often creepy up from time to time. Not that he wasn't trying but dating was still new to him beyond casual things. Ariadne was anything but casual to him.

"More a dinner than a job. If you want it, that's up to you and it'll be after the first of the year. I just... I got a call because Saito apparently give out your number and I thought of how amazing this could all be and I can call them now and cancel," he said, reaching for his phone.

She shook her head, her hand reaching out to grab his arm slightly to stop him. "No. It's fine, Arthur, really." She stared as a small smile started tugging at the corner of her mouth. "Working just hadn't occurred to me is all."

Her mouth opening and closing a moment, as she was suddenly curious as to why Saito was giving out her number, and just what Arthur thought of it. Only to stop herself, letting a soft laugh slip out as she moved closer to him, her attention focused up at him as she spoke. "Thank you for this." It wasn't much to say. But she knew that a great deal of planning went into it. So obviously she was thrilled, and there wasn't enough words to say just how much that meant to her.

"So." She started, letting her smile grow a bit wider then. "Are you always this sneaky - or can I say I'm just that lucky?"

He truly had been nervous that he had overstepped his boundaries, asking for too much without meaning to. Then she was smiling, giving her reasoning and Arthur couldn't help but smile. Pulling her in close, he kissed her. Soft, tender, more emotion than he'd known he could feel for a single person in a moment, in a lifetime.

"Well if you don't want to work, there's nothing saying you have to, and all around that we'll have all the other things I've planned. So thank me after your second massage and a few hours in a rooftop pool," he said with a grin.

He blushed, just a bit, ducking his head. "When something, or in this case someone, is worth it, I can be amazingly sneaky."

She could feel her heart skip a beat then, amazed at just how the simplest words could do so much to her. "You really shouldn't spoil me." She teased then, picking up her bag as she did. "I'm going to start expecting it." Which was clearly her having fun with it, knowing she never would be use to the attention he seemed to give her.

"Work is fine -- if you trust it obviously." She then pointed out, slinging her bag over her shoulder to look out over the airport again. It was obvious, she would only seem to take his advice on it, no matter how nice the bid was for the job.

A quick shrug of her shoulder and she was spinning around slowly, taking in the sites all around her. "So what's the hotel like?" She asked then, letting a smile spread across her face.

"Oh, you can try," he said with a laugh. "But I'll just find new and inventive ways so that you're constantly surprised. Surprised and spoiled," he teased, taking her hand.

"I don't know if I do yet or not, but won't until we meet with them," he said, starting across the tarmac to the waiting car. A Rolls Royce touring car with suited driver standing beside it.

"The most luxurious in Dubai, which in this country is saying so much. The tend towards spoiling."

"Oh I bet you will.". She replied, letting her amusement of it all slip out.

Her attention then moving onto the driver, offering him a small, suddenly self conscious smile. As she then realized, just how out of place she was in her jeans, blouse and worn red coat. Something she oddly found nerving. As it was clear just how elite and prestigious this all seemed to be. She only wanted to do justice to everything he put so much effort into after all.

As the driver took their bags then, Ariadne couldn't help but lean over towards Arthur, whispering: "You know I stand out like a sore thumb right?" It wasn't a question more a statement. But one that needed to be said.

"I do like that look on your face," he noted with a grin.

In truth, he hadn't thought about that so when he whispered the words, he looked stunned and confused. Peering down at her, fingers brushing her cheek. "Why would you say that," he asked, truly confused by it.

Leaning into his touch slightly, she just gave him a small smile, shrugging her shoulders as she watched the driver a moment. "Because, as much as I'm obviously happy with who I am -- I don't pull off the elegant look often." She pointed out softly, finally moving towards the car to get in.

"That is of course, unless I'm apparently working." She teased, shooting him a small smile, and slipping into the back of the car.

Continuing on with her feeling of awkwardness seemed slightly unneeded after all. They were there to enjoy themselves, right? She would get over it quickly.

"Working or not, you don't have anyone you need to impress with your look," he said, moving to slid in next to her in the car. Immediately he pulled her to him, wrapping an arm around Ariadne's shoulders.

"If you want to wear costumes and pretend to be someone you're not, we can go shopping but I hope that you believe me when I tell you that all that matters to me is the woman in the clothes. I don't care what you wear, though I would ask that you wear clothes. What lays beneath them I'm proprietary over," he admitted with a grin.

She just nodded slightly, offering him a small smile as she rested her head against the side of him. "And this is why I love you." She mumbled, letting a small giggle in amusement slip out. Only to cock her head to the side slightly, sending him a sidelong glance and smirk. "Obviously likewise. But clearly you already know that. And well, the big bright sign I have hanging on your back all the time stating that fact, clearly helps as well." She teased then, before letting out a small sigh and resting into his side..

Her eyes glancing between the front of the car, and all the objects passing them as they went. "When did you plan all of this by the way?" She asked at random, the curiosity evident over it all.

"Because I love you as you are... and naked," he said, definitely enjoying himself now as he watched the city go by outside the tinted windows. In truth it was easy to see it as just another city, and yet knowing it was one of the richest in the world, a playground for the secretive, exploitive and rich.

"And there's a sign hanging on me that says what," he asked, fingers stroking along her arm. "Property of Ariadne," he asked, arching a brow. "Not that I'm objecting, just curious."

He laughed then, ducking his head. "When I was supposed to be doing research for some job Cobb's gotten himself into. This was more important."
